Tapenade Ingredients Utensils Making the Tapenade Classic Place the pitted olives, garlic, oregano , rosemary , and thyme into the Thermomix bowl. Start the Thermomix and gradually increase the speed to 7-8 until the ingredients are finely chopped and well combined. This should take about 20-30 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure all the ingredients are well incorporated. With the Thermomix running at speed 4, slowly drizzle in 60ml of extra-virgin olive oil through the lid. Continue processing until the tapenade reaches your desired consistency. You can make it smooth or leave it slightly chunky, depending on your preference. Taste the tapenade and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Transfer the tapenade to a serving bowl or airtight container. French-style variation Add 6-8 anchovies, 50g drained canned tuna, few capers and juice of 1 lemon and process as above. Adjust amounts according to preference.
